2nd brew with the GF today. Managed to keep the cap on the filter this time and was happy with

I have always used a secondary, but not sure I'm getting any value out of it. My ABV is similar
to yours and I'm planning on 3 weeks in the primary, then keg for the next one.

Fermcap-S definitely works as do the larger flasks, but all-in-all, I found starter solutions
to be a PITA that I just don't want to work with. I've shifted to dry yeast whenever possible.
