  • Picked up a free copy of some Boston magazine once and the cover said something like "Home Made Wine Growing" or something like that. I didn't even like wine, but being the DIY type of guy that I am I decided to make some. Ended up with a few drinkable batches of wine until I decided to use my wine kit equipment to make some beer and was very surprised at how good the beer came out. A HopHead IPA extact kit, if a recall correctly.rnrnTried making some more about a year later, don't really remember the name of the extract kit, but it was some hoppy IPA. It failed to carbonate and ended up wasting the contents of all of the bottles.rnrnAnother year went by and I decided to give it another try, another kit called Opus Imperial Chocolate Coffee stout. This one was put into 4 of those mini kegs. It came out way too bitter for me, but a couple of my friends loved it. Another batch I did not get to enjoy.rnrnI decided to give it one last try and brewed an extract clone of Pliny the Elder. Drank the entire korny by myself in 2 weeks.rnrnThis last one was enough to get me hooked.
  • Who knows? I have come across so many interesting recipes in this site. I still have to pick one for another 5 or 6 gallon batch.
  • 1) Chocolate Cherry Sweet Stout, 1 gallon. My own experimental recipe to try to brew something for SWMBO 2) English IPA, 1 gallon, my own experimental recipe 3) Some sort of IPA, 6 gallons, my own recipe. Split into three 2 gallon batches. Bucket 1 fermenting with Wyeast Labs 1098 (British Ale), bucket 2 fermenting with Wyeast Labs 1318 (London Ale III) and bucket 3 fermenting with Wyeast Labs 1968 (London ESB Ale).

Why not feed 4 cold water pipes in parallel, while the wort flows through just one pipe in
series? This way, every 1/4 of the wort's way, it gets a new batch of cold water bathing over
    it.Perhaps, even...
