Look forward to hearing your results. Never had the commercial beer, but it sounds like
something I would like and something I would brew.

How did you come up with your grain bill? Did you base it on anything you were able to learn
about how the brewery makes the beer, or did you wing it based on your experience with the
    beer? Just curio...

Thanks Denny. It was probably 2 months after I won the kit that I brewed it, and there were 3
containers of "Northern Brewer Gold Malt Syrup." One thing I noticed right away because the
    extract is pac...

10 days in and only at 70% apparent attenuation.I had a similar experience. 1.072 and petered
out at 1.024. Problem was, I've gotten so cocky with my fermentation process, I didn't bother

The beer will absorb the co2 in the headspace. It's not a leaky keg. That's what I suspected.
Thanks for the quick reply. In the interim I did go out and check the kegs for leaks with some
    Gas Leak Det...

When I put beer in kegs to store, I put 10lbs. of pressure on the beer (uncarbonated) to store,
but I notice that within 12 hours if I reapply pressure it takes in the pressure. I can't
    identify any l...

Completely 100% normal fermentation. Maybe was a bit slow to start (sounds like you may have
started your starter too soon. 12 - 18 hours ahead is plenty), but otherwise normal.

So, did you brew the beer? How did it go? I'm planning to brew it Saturday and I'm interested
to hear how your brew went. I have a RIMS system, so I'm al little curious about how the mash
    and sparge w...

Have you tried Oskar Blues G'Knight (previously Gordon Ale)? This beer has a nice resiny hop
nose and character. As you mentioned this achieved with Columbus hops. There is a big charge of
