  • Aspiring home brewer, with the desire to perfect a few recipes and open a local brewery. I have a family of five, a daughter born October 20, 2005; a set of twins (one boy, one girl) born July 10, 2011; and a loving wife who puts up with my Sh**. Work in retail as a manager, and everyday I dream of a brewery and my dream job.

  • I fell in love with beer after a trip to Birmingham, at the age of 17. My dad bought a mixed six pack from a store of all craft beers. He always drinks Coors Light, and wanted to try something different. He opened one and didnt like it. Gave me the rest. Sweetwater 420, Sweetwater Blue, Buffalo Bill's Orange Blossom Cream Ale, Sam Adams Honey Porter, and a Guinness. I was in awe of how good these beers were. I didnt like the Guinness at first, but now it is one of my regulars. Got interested in the process of beer production, and have taught myself with the help of a couple of books for recipes and formulation. The rest is history

I'm not sure what I did wrong or if time will help. Its very under carbonated. I know time will
help in that, but what I'm not sure about is the syrupy mouthfeel. I'm hoping carbonation will
    thin it o...

    be sweeter....

Brewed today. Was a little darker in color than I thought it would be and was a little more
hoppy than I anticipated, but this was the first recipe I designed from scratch. The hops
    should have a tone...
