Okay, I figured it would be okay. I just like to make sure. Should be bottling it tomorrow,
then hopefully drinking in about three weeks! Thanks!

I've gotten pretty busy lately and my nut Brown ale extract kit is going on 4 weeks in primary.
I assume it is perfectly fine and maybe even better with the 2 extra weeks. Is this true?

Yeah, the kit came as a present and my next batch is a nut Brown ale that will be bottled in 2
days. I think I'm going to do th 15 min cascade pale ale next.

Just drank my first batch and it tastes like apples. It was a classic American light kit. 2

Alright, I will grab some vodka for the future. My OG was around 1.045. It is a 5.5 gal batch
in a 6.5 gal fermentor. Anyone think I could have a blow off?

Pretty active fermentation going on and my starsan is actually bubbling uot of my airlock. Is
this a big issue as long as I watch it and top it off or should I just top off with some pure
    water?118138

  • Posted in thread: Can using immersion chiller cause shock on metal? on 04-19-2013 at 12:25 AM
I figured it wouldn't be because it is still a relatively low temp for the aluminum/S.S and
nowhere close to range needed to change the microstructure, just figured it is always good to
    ask.

Seems like putting a 212+ F pot into 32 F water could cause a good bit of shock on the
aluminum/S.S. Is this anything to worry about? Should it be steeped down to 32 F water?

Eight weeks sounds about right for that big of beer. I would probably dry hop a week before
kegging. You can even dry hop in the keg if you want.I love the sig! Too true...
