Oh, and cheers to Jay for a great false bottom. They aren't the cheapest things in the world,
but I did my first real brew on mine last weekend and was super pleased with the runoff rate
    without getti...

Do you do HERMS? If so did you happen to buy a Stainlessbrewing.com coil? Trying to figure out
if a 50' is too much for this kettle or not if its 7-8" high if i will have to be putting extra

I have handles on both of mine. They'd be very hard to get out of the pot without it. I can't
think of any good reason not to have them. Yes, I use the second fb in my boil kettle to strain
    hops. I us...

Whole hops and a false bottom in my boil kettle. Works great.

I'm far from an expert here, but it sounds like you just need a couple of DPST switches.
Something like these:4-BLADES, ON/OFF, CHROME HANDLE, MEDIUM DUTYEach switch has two poles so
    you can use one s...

I actually just received one of these today. I'm pretty happy with it. I do agree that you
could probably build it either a bit better or a bit cheaper yourself. But, in this case I've
    got enough othe...

  • Posted in thread: How best to run grounds with a plastic enclosure on 12-15-2011 at 06:12 PM
I'm building a fairly basic RIMS system based on one of PJs excellent schematics. I've noticed
most people use metal enclosures with a ground lug, but my enclosure will be plastic. In this
    case, what'...
