    I would say its not done fermenting yet. When you moved it you roused the yeast again. Did you
    take a SG readings?

    It might be the sound of the gas going into the keg. You said it stops once the keg has reached
    pressure. If it's not leaking I wouldn't worry about it.

    My "hurry up" method is 30 psi for 36 hours, vent and reset to 11 psi. Just did this last week.

    The only thing my wife helps me with is drinking the keg empty!Did did clean up the kitchen
    after I plugged the sink disposal with spent grains and they pretty much exploded all over the
    kitchen! LOL!

    I wouldn't shorten it... that means you leave drinkable beer in the bottom of the keg! :D
