The sensor measures the amount of pressure caused by the height of the liquid in the vessel.

Obviously as one of the developers for BrewTroller I'm biased. I do think the DIY component of
BrewTroller is made into a bigger issue than it really is. The BCS comes with an enclosure and

This isn't much cheaper than a BrewTroller. Keep in mind you don't need to use every feature of

BrewTroller does this though it's not something that's been tested very thoroughly yet. We use
the Freescale MPX5010 sensor and a calibration table in setup where you calibrate specific

Has anyone figured out how to make a cheap steam jacketed boil kettle yet? You could eliminate
the elements in the boil kettle and use a boiler for direct mash heat and to feed the kettle
jacket.
