    ABOUT ME

  • Silver Spring MD
  • I've entered the world of all grain! Simple setup so far with a turkey fryer burner, but it works. had some hits, and some misses, but the best was a DFH 60 minute IPA clone that yooper posted.
Now, i just need to get my temps under control, because fermenting in MD in the summer (78-80 degrees on the fermenter) is really not working out.
  • good ones, i hope.

That diagram looks great to me, with one small exception...The placement of the ammeter will
only measure the current going into the pid, which will be nearly nothing. If you we're hoping
    to measure t...

i noticed the indicator for the 'system power' is in series with the contactor coil (the power
goes through the light, then the contactor). Pretty sure they should be in parallel, so the
    power goes th...

Those stats are are horrible, and written in Engrish. The reality that I believe is as follows:
The circuit was designed to run on 220v @ 10a. This means that the circuits should be able to

P.S., Thumbs up for the person who notices my :drunk: mistake!if no one else found it, i think

Do they line these things with aluminum foil? They sure don't take any abuse very well. I'm
worried about what could happen if I ever drop a keg.Thats why I'm seriously considering
    putting a sheet of ...

Wish I could weld or I'd give that a try. Unfortunately my skills are limited to wood, glue,
and screws. My Grandfather always told me I should have gone to school for welding rather than
    'messing' w...

rather than doing a full platform, i was planning to make a square from some angle iron that
would allow the freezer to sit just inside the upward lip. then weld the plates to that square
    frame, and a...

another thing to look out for... i have seen a lot of wall transformers with non-serviceable
fuses inside them (non-serviceable because the plastic case is sealed). I'm not saying that
    adapter had a f...
