I used the 3M adhesive spray that was mentioned in Bobby's thread and I do pick up a nasty odor
each time I heat the mash tun. Over time (several years now) it has deminished substantially.
    However, i...

I did the same thing, holes were slightly too big, but I filled in those holes with silicone
and have had not problems with the silicone melting or burning.

Yes that size is worth a try, let us know how it goes. However I believe a shank tailpiece barb
is incompatible with a 1/4 FFL nut. I see that beverage factory carries the 3/16 barb for a 1/4
    FFL fitt...

out there? I'll gladly put clamps on the lines if that's all it takes.Williams brewing just
    started carr...

Thanks for your candid response. It is very generous of you to offer it so deeply discounted.
As much as I hate to say it, I would encourage you to make it more worth your while. That way
    you have a r...

Looks like this is the tubing to get to keep beers tasting fresh in the lines. I do not
currently have any issues with most of the beers that I poor, but anything that I poor

If it were similarly priced I would have been interested (should I ever need to rebuild this)
but I think that it really bends just fine on its own. Most of us are using Bobby's spec with
    the silicone...

I used my biggest drill bit to cut through the aluminum, then used a grinding attachment on my
drill to grind it our to the appropriate size. This was much cheaper than buying a larger drill
    bit. The ...

I think the key is to get the aluminum "pre-bent" as best you can. Every time you bend the
insulation around the kettle it breaks down a little, and this will be more so without the
    adhesive. I kept h...
