- My brewing career started in Feb 2011 with a Mr. Beer Kit from my wife. I said "what do I do with this"? She said "You can make your own beer!" MAKE my own beer! There it began. I went to 5 gallon extract by April '11, all grain by June '11. My recent upgrade was a kegging system for Christmas '11.

I haven't noticed much of a smell from the beer fermenting, however brewing yes. My wife
doesn't care for the smell of brewing the beer, so I do that late at night when everyone is

I would also suggest something more straightforward like a brown or pale ale. Concentrate on

My girlfriend who is a graphic design major made this for me. I think its pretty good. My
