  • Started brewing on a whim. I always wanted to try it (My Great Grandfather brewed). Stopped into a home brew shop one day and bought a kit. Started on the stove, but the wife can't stand the smell (smells like heaven to me); so I moved outside on a turkey burner. One thing lead to another (vague reference to a Fixx song) and I bought a 7.5 gallon pot, grain mill, 5 gallon cooler. Then a 10 gallon cooler, made my own brew cart. Bought a pump, plumbed the brew cart. Inherited a 5 cu/ft freezer, bought temp control (which led to more carboys). Then my friends started drinking all my beer - Needed a larger pot and fermenter. So, I bought two Sanke kegs. Made one into a Keggle, and the other a fermenter. Oh, yeah...then I was REALLY tired of bottling all those batches, so I needed some kegs. Bought 15 kegs, then a Co2 set up. But that created other problems that need to be solved: 1) Keggerator - working on a side-by-side conversion (one side ferments, the other serves), 2) Need st
  • This summer I'm looking at Herbed beers. Swamp Fox IPA from Moon River, Highland Heather and maybe a Fraock clones. Ic wouldn't mind experimenting with maybe a Agave Nectar fermentation too. I have a grain order coming in, so I first have to brew my inventory back up so my friends have enough free beer!

Thanks. If you go this route, plan on accounting for the loss of water in the plumbing. I lose
about 1.5 gallons in the whole system. Not necessarily a problem because it is just water, but
    you don't ...

I was limited in storage space and needed something that I could roll in and out of the house
easy. I converted a steel cart I had. I keep adding and upgrading. It was a standard cart so
