They should have welded a square of 1/4" plate steel on the bottom of the legs and tapped a
hole for the feet. Way too much weight for a side-tacked nut IMHO.I hope you like the conical.

The only problem with that is that you would lose the HopLup by going with a diff cap. If you
didn't care about that you could also just get an end cap reducer and not have to drill
