Still have both of these in carboys at nearly 5 months. A4 is at 1.006 tastes sweet with a mild
tartF4 is at 1.014 with a cherry sweetness and mild tart. Both look clean and smell pleasant.

I learned from this book then some trial and error. I only wasted 1# of beans getting it right.
I made my own heavy duty whirly pop style roaster and I roast on my beer burner.

I routinely add over 10oz for a flameout hopstand addition in my IPAs and you get very little
bitterness from it, but a ton of aroma. Im more of a fan of dry hopping with chinook though.

where did you find the 648? i've been looking all over the place for it and cant find it
anywhere- and im in california. you'd think it'd be easy with half a dozen LHBS all around me

Both of mine, A4 and F4, are both still in secondary. I'm waiting for more sour/tart character
to develop. Both brewed in May.
