  • I am Army. Everyone loves the brewer than can brew where you cannot buy it (IRAQ) LOL. I have deployed 2 times now, and they don't let us have alchohol there but you can buy sugar and they have the very best fresh fruit there at the chow halls you can ask for. Just ask your buddies to put fill their pockets with fresh fruit and give it to you later. 1 big plastic coffee container, some yeast and time walla happy soldiers! LOL I have been brewing for 11 years. I am always going outside of conventional brewing thought. Everyone I know wants me to go into brewing professionally but that isn't why I brew. For me it is being able to brew better beer or wine than you can buy in a store. AND plying my artistic side to a brew that everyone begs for.

  • I used to build hotrods but after working as a heavy line tech for a ford dealership for 8 years I lost the love of working on engines and cars. My ex wife bought me a MR. Beer kit for xmas and it just grew from there. I was always looking for better than you could buy in a store. So after years of researching on the WEB and lots of books and brews later I am finally thinking I have a small grasp on brewing. To be perfect would take a life time of brewing. But now I have a working knowelege and when I joined the great Northern Brewers Club they dubbed me the mad brewer because I like to brew stuff that is 18-22% for wine and 10-14% beer. BUT I make it so that you can't taste the alchohol by brewing it at the coldest temperarures possible. Hehehe
