- Back before Al Gore invented the internet, I was a college student with a taste for good beer but on a student's budget. On the beer bulletin boards (forums before there was an internet) there was talk about radical folk who MADE their own beer! I crudely copied their arts until I got married (w/kids) when life got too hectic to brew. After the entity formerly known as wife declared her intentions to dissolve our union, I found myself back in an apartment not unlike the one I had in my college days. I tried the blonde barley wine yesterday and didn't care for it. This does not means it's not a
