    ABOUT ME

  • brewing,wooden boats,golf
  • I started brewing in the early 1990s with a home brew kit purchased from James Page Brewery in MN. My second daughter was born in 1996 and I stopped. I had accumulated about 12 Coke (pin connector) kegs, a keggle, a full yeast culturing lab and had just started to buy parts for a RIMS. I sold everything except a new pump and two brand new 10gal coolers. I started brewing again in 2009.

GA is dead last in craft beer friendliness. Yet, we still have breweries opening here. That
includes a new brew pub coming to the Atlanta Beltline which will be operated by Mitch Steele,
    a former brew...

Hi Guys,I finally got around to building an extension cord. I went overboard and bought 35ft of
cord. I have a 3-car garage and I can roll this thing to the most extreme corner and still have
    extra co...

What I had in mind was to circulate the 10 gallons (plus 3 gallon reservoir of the Lindr) from
cooler to chiller. but using a coil sounds more efficient. This is becoming an increasingly
    expensive proj...

xico,I think it is definitely doable and I have thought about it. Last summer, there were two
instances where the breaker tripped in my garage when I was running the glycol chiller. I
    started thinking...

If you do a chargeback through the credit card company it has to be done within 6 months of the
transaction I think. It used to be 60 days unless that has changed.

Now that I have the QuickCarb, I may buy one of these little Taprite CO2 testers. It is
definitely far below the quality of a real Zahm but also $1,200 less expensive.
