- Googled about homebrewing after a friend shared one of his homebrews. Just surfed around for a year. Purchased basic equipment Fall of 2011. Brewed 4 kits: Nut Brown Ale, American Wheat, Smashing Pumpkin Ale from Northern Brewer and B3 Stout from Morebeer. As of 9/23/12, I brewed my first all-grain recipe using BIAB. I plan to stick with BIAB. I hope to move into electric brewing very soon.

I'm talking about a heat stick kit that wouldn't be based on a bunch of kitchen sink plumbing
parts or off the shelf triclover parts.Bobby,I would be very interested in something like this.
I wish som...Posted in thread: EBIAB Recirculation Question on 04-21-2013 at 01:30 AM
Keith, sounds like 4 good beers you can make there ;)I guess I set myself up for that one. As a
former science major, I guess I really should set up the experiment. The main problem is that I
do not y...Posted in thread: EBIAB Recirculation Question on 04-19-2013 at 08:58 PM
I actually found it : reason I asked was because several e-BIABers have abandoned
recirculation. I think there was a thread on this and it might have been related to the use of
the basket. Apparently...Posted in thread: My One Vessel AG System on 04-10-2013 at 02:21 PM
Next plan of attack is to use the BIAB filter basket to filter the wort as it poured from the
BK into the fermenter. I'm bound and determined to get double use out of this thing!I've been
thinking thr...Posted in thread: BIAB Electric Brewing System on 04-09-2013 at 07:36 PM
Planning a test run with water in an hour or so and if all goes well I'll also be brewing
today. Picked up a plate chiller and a grill top to rest the basket on when draining so I can
give it a squeez...Posted in thread: BIAB Electric Brewing System on 04-07-2013 at 12:22 AM
Thanks, SpacemanSpiff for responding. I'm sure I'll have more questions related to this system,
so I don't think we'll be hijacking sippin37's thread. He may end up purchasing one,
himself.Getting rea...Posted in thread: Yet Another eBIAB Build on 04-06-2013 at 04:51 PM
Voltin,I looked back thru your initial photos and can't tell where you have your temp probe
mounted. You mentioned at one point that you didn't recirculate at first, so I'm assuming that
you had your ...Posted in thread: BIAB Electric Brewing System on 04-06-2013 at 04:35 PM
I finally got my power run and made a batch last weekend. What a great experience. It easily
shaved about 90 minutes off my normal brew day. I had essentially no problems at all. Well, one
small probl...Posted in thread: Planning my E-BIAB control on 04-06-2013 at 02:14 PM
Ryan,Thanks for asking. You must have done some real digging thru the forum to find my post. I
did a lot of that because I didn't want to waste time asking questions that had already been
answered sev...Posted in thread: Heating element with controller on 02-23-2013 at 01:41 PM
Am I doing something wrong? When I search for PWM in electric or DIY forum I get
nothing...?SpartyParty,I had the same problem searching. Apparently, you can't simply search
for a 3-letter word. Here'...
