Of recent memory I thought Shipyard Mint Chocolate Stout was a mess. Way too spearminty in a
toothpaste kind of way, an unpleasant hot alcohol bite, and excessive anise. Didn't mix well

Seems like a lot of chlorine/chloramines to me. I would use campden tablets, as a small
charcoal filter would require extremely low flow rates to effectively remove the chloramines.

75-76 actual ferm temp isn't horrible but I'd venture a guess that there's mild ester funk
