    I made mine out of the electrical strut material everyone builds their brew sculptures out of
    now a days. That way I didn't have to weld anything.

    I have a disk sander and I'm sanding down the tips and then using a stainless cross as a die
    and threading them in, and then backing them out. A little primer and cpvc glue and presto.

    FYI don't bother ordering the cpvc crosses for fire supply. They're a different size SOB!
