  • Phoenix, AZ
  • I have a degree in Architecture and a background in a variety of holistic fields. I began brewing beer about 2 1/2 years ago and am really enjoying it. I am very excited about learning more and more about brewing every day and being able to enjoy the fruits of my labor. I see this as a great opportunity for me to combine my knowledge of herbs and beer into wonderful libations!

I would trade in the beer gas tank and get a 100% N2 tank and a gas blender. Then split off the
N2 so that one line goes to the gas blender and the other goes to your coffee keg.Thanks. I
    wish I could...

Called my gas supplier yesterday and they will not fill paintball tanks; it needs a CGA 580
fitting for Nitro. So, I think I came up with a different solution... These guys have converted
    a 2.5lb tank...

I have that regulator and when cold 16lbs is all I can get with c02, great regulatorWhat
fittings do you use for the gas line? I was thinking of splitting it two ways...

Does that regulator work with N2? I think I read on their sight that you can't serve above
15psi.I'm pretty sure not, but that's why I was going with a paintball tank with a built-in
    high pressure reg...

You can always call your local refiller and ask them. Mine is pretty picky and will not refill
a bottle they don't already refill. That's the plan, but they are closed on the weekend...

I could really use some input and insight, as I have been researching this for a while and
think I have come up with a plan... I finished my new 14 tap keezer build a few months ago and
    am running 11 ...

I noticed some foam consistent with fermentation when I did mine, but I like to avoid any mold
or fuzz on fermentations like this (even though it could be ok)... That's why when I do any
    pickling, kra...

That sounds really good to me! Looking forward to seeing how it turns out. We tried mine
prematurely last night from the keg and it has a somewhat off-putting aroma, but the flavor
    profile is really n...

Thanks Mateo. I was wondering if you were allowing it to carbonate... I just transferred mine
to a keg with a FG of 1.002. It is clean, tart, fruity and dry with hints of spice and a
    funky/fruity nose...

If yours goes like mine did, you won't be complaining of it being too sweet. Mine ended up
puckeringly tart. Not sour, but tart as hell. I probably should have pasteurized before it got
    to that point....
