My favorite Citra beer is Kern River's Citra DIPA. The brewing network did an episode of "Can
we brew it" based on this beer. Here is the recipe.

brews have a bigger than usual trub left behind in the fermenter. I believe it is just grain

Nope, there will still be plenty of yeast in their for bottling.

You will need a separate temp controller to actually power on the fridge/freezer, if you want
to have any fine control.Search the keezer threads and the eBay aquarium temp controller.

I've tried just about every root beer extract on the planet, along with just about every recipe
with different combinations of sweeteners and ingredients to make what I consider to be a good
    root beer...

After mashing I bring it up to a boil for 5mins or so to kill anything off to buy me some time.
Then I just cover and walk away until the next day.
