  • Got into home brewing as a result of my close friend introducing me to craft beer. I thought to myself "Hey if beer can taste this good I sure would like to make it myself." Went to my LHBS and got a brew kit with two carboys, bottling bucket, and miscellaneous supplies. That's how it all began.

    Equipment:
    36qt SS stock pot,
    Propane burner,
    1/2" 35' copper immersion chiller,
    10gal rubbermaid mash tun,
    6.5 gal carboy,
    5 gal carboy,
    6 gal bottling bucket
  • Edworts Bavarian hefewiezen, Edworts Apfelwien

Thanks everybody. It seems like the general consensus is smashing the fruit with a sanitized
tool through a funnel with an opening wide enough that can fit into the carboy. Sounds a whole
    lot better t...

Thank you for your responses. Both were very informative and lead me to make up 1 gallon worth
