    There's a leak there somewhere. I'd guess it's the lid seal but the CO2 is getting out
    somewhere. I've had the same issue with my Blichmann conical without ill effect on the beer.

    I decided to try an extract kit again for fun and picked up Midwest's Bigfoot's Barleywine kit.
    It specifies a secondary fermentation with a champaign yeast pitch. I haven't done a secondary
    in years ...
