Posted in thread: Silicone or thermoplastic tubing? Preferences? on 10-17-2010 at 06:49 PM
I was wondering this too. I ordered thermoplastic but the silicone is clear, whereas thermo is
opaque...I'm not sure why infection would be an issue unless you're talking about the tubing
off the boil...

Put a few cups of white vinegar in a bucket of water. Let the copper sit in the solution for a
few hours and it will turn shiny again. It's always good to do when you first use it and then

Sorry for potential highjack, but I've been meaning to ask what that strange flavor is in New
Belgium's Mothership wit and 1554 or whatever... tastes like olives to me. Turned me off from

get clear si...

This is all because Ruination is not a great beer. It's a stunt beer packed with Cascade hops
that makes it taste like you're eating a tree. The entire nose is totally one dimensional.
Contrast to Hop...

Dogfish Head IPAs taste like typical homebrew IPAs. I had the 90 min once and it was ok, mild
and smooth. Had it another time and just cloyingly sweet. Stone Ruination is way too hoppy in
an overly si...
