I'm looking to brew one, maybe two IPAs this weekend. I'm just looking for input on which
recipes to try. It's probably been a couple years since I last brewed an IPA, and I didn't much
    care for it an...

You need to top off with water (if necrssary) first. An OG of 1.300 means you did something
    wrong.

Assuming you do want to start with a rimfire (which is a good decision IMO), a good new bolt
.22 is a Savage MKII. For something a bit "higher class", go for a CZ 452. They'll both work
    about the same...

I think in some ways it's like enjoying a cigar or good liquor. There are a lot of subtle
flavors and aromas to look for, and the experience can be unpleasant to the uninitiated.

That stuff isn't brewed as much as it is "manufactured". I do believe they start with a very
light "malt base", which is to say, a very small amount of actual malt (be it barley or corn or
    rice or wha...

It's a pretty awful scenario, and it's difficult to even fathom. Can't really think of any
other shootings where the victims were so young. What's even worse are those that are using this
    "opportunity"...

  • Posted in thread: Cost for welder to weld kegs? on 12-14-2012 at 04:38 PM
Most shops will probably be charging you at least $60/hour to do the work. Figure for more ($60
is a bit low from what I've seen). This rate goes up with any more difficult work or if you
    need anythin...

I was thinking of mixing it with another much dryer stout...might give that a go.

It finished at 1.020...is that enough for any considerable fermentation to happen?

Brewed a dry/oatmeal stout and it's finally "done". I had some issues with it (what appeared to
be an infection ended the primary ferm short), so I knew it would never be a "good" beer.
    Beyond the pri...
