I put two IPA's in a couple kegs at serving temperature of 40 F. They smelled pretty good from
the hydrometer samples beforehand, but now that their fully carbed, they have a weird rotten
    melon, raw d...

Ok, well that's somewhat comforting. :mug:I'll move it indoors somewhere to keep it a bit
warmer. Will it be ok to leave it on the fruit for another few months?

I'm glad this thread got resurrected today.I ended up racking to secondary without the fruit.
It's been in there for two months now, and I saw very little change in the gravity. It went

Thanks for the advice everyone. Oldsock, would it be ok to add the fruit as I rack to
secondary? I ask because I'm afraid of oxidation if I add it later. I only have a 5 gallon
    carboy and I imagine th...

I know there are multiple threads on berliners right now, but this is a more specific
question...I have a berliner that i'm planning on adding some pineapple and then dry hopping
    with Sorachi Ace. I d...

  • Posted in thread: Using plastic carboy for sour wort berliner on 08-17-2013 at 04:24 PM
You could do a sour mash, then boil and proceed as usual. That basically makes a non-infected
berliner weisse. I I wouldn't try it with any other sour, but berliners aren't trying to get
    that many com...

Iím planning on running off my mash into a plastic carboy and then throwing in some grain and
souring it up for a couple daysÖ will this infect the carboy and make it unusable for clean
    beers? Iím thi...

So I'm thinking of doing a 10 gallon batch of American Pale Ale and splitting the wort in half,
doing two seperate boils and hopping one with all Nelson Sauvin and the other with Motueka. I'm
