Your readings could also be lower if there is any sort of water or sanitizer in your pipette
when drawing a sample. This would cause the sample to be diluted and read lower than it should

8 days isn't very long, so you should be fine. If you're storing them long term, I'd recommend
getting a foodsaver-type vacuum sealer to remove most of the oxygen from the bag.
