I asked about adding sauermalz because I use RO and haven't needed to add any when brewing
bitters or pale ales based on ph readings with a claibrated meter.

If I've followed this correctly the OP is advised to add 13 grams of CaCl & CaSO4 and sauermalz

I switched from a Herms to direct fire for the reason Bobby M states and to reduce the
temperature stratification. I overcame scorching and hold the entire mash within

The flow sensor I'm referencing only reacted to the relative temperature difference between
flowing and static liquid, the actual fluid temperature had no effect on detecting flow. That

I'd think detecting flow is safer, than level. Googles for liquid flow sensor. The industry I
retired from used IFE brand flow sensors, they were a SS probe 1/4 dia. about 1/2" long with

Not aware of a safety device intrinsic to a gas regulator to prohibit excessive flow. They
reduce psi of gas to ounces of pressure at a max. cfm delivery. Sounds like you've exceeded the
max. cfm of t...

Not sure where I bought it, but my false bottom looks like a pie pan and it doesn't cover the
bottom of my keg. I also clip on a circular section of nylon cut from a paint strainer bag to

Not sure about the specific hardware you are planing to use, but if your controller supports a
4-20ma output, that variable output can control the output of the pwm device. If the pwm will
