Does the 30 minute flameout/whirlpool mean that we do the entire boil, kill heat and add hops
and then steep an additional 30 minutes prior to chilling? That's exactly what it means, yes.Posted in thread: Firestone Walker Wookey Jack Clone Attempt on 02-06-2013 at 01:27 PM
I didn't and had no issues.I didn't use any either, but I do recall a pretty slow sparge. I
might throw a half pound in next time, just to be safe. As ilikeguns said, it will depend upon
your equipmen...Posted in thread: Firestone Walker Wookey Jack Clone Attempt on 01-24-2013 at 03:54 PM
I used S04 - it was wonderful.Posted in thread: Firestone Walker Wookey Jack Clone Attempt on 12-07-2012 at 07:16 PM
Anyone have any luck with wlp007 in this recipe? Would it dry it out too much? I used 007 for a

I have been wondering this as well.Glad I'm not the only one. My sense is it would be no
different than a regular HERMS, but with the temp probe at the exit from the HERMS coil for the
TOP. It's just ...Posted in thread: FHBS - Black Hops Sale 2012! on 11-28-2012 at 03:32 PM
I've clicked mine about 30 times and they haven't appeared.I hear you, John. Thanks again for
being my first stop for hops. Hell, for specialty malts too!Posted in thread: FHBS - Black Hops Sale 2012! on 11-27-2012 at 12:13 AM
If I click my heels together three times and ask for pounds of Amarillo, will those appear,
too? I so need one.Posted in thread: FHBS - Black Hops Sale 2012! on 11-25-2012 at 02:22 PM
Yep, you guys are the best! Always my first choice for hops (and specialty grains, for that
matter!)
