  • It all started with a Mr. Beer kit, like so many others out there. Charlie Pap's classic book got me further into it and then later John Palmer's book continued my knowledge. I got into kegging very quickly and after several years on the stove with extract and then partial mash, I slowly got into all grain and I got pretty good at it, with my limited setup. I decided to upgrade and make a single tier rig and in the middle of a Brutus build I converted to an electric Kal clone. Best thing I ever did and I love the quality of the beer I make, as it is truly pub quality. Stop by sometime if your in the area and have a pint with me and take a load off!

  • Posted in thread: Why does all Samuel Adams Beer Taste Bad? on 01-20-2017 at 02:26 AM
I guess everyone's tastes are just different. People like what they like. I happen to like some
of Sam Adams offerings. I think their Rye is very balanced and just enough spice. I also like
    their Sais...

I see what you mean now. A lot of us use a blow off tube for the first few days of fermentation
when there is a lot of activity. After it settles down in a few days then we put on an air
    lock. But if ...

I ran into my second major problem. I didn't confirm my airlocks fit my carboy... and they did
not. Or not well. If I wanted to, I could force the bung (I think that's what it's called?)
    completely th...

I bought the 375ml container twice at southern brewing in Tampa. I think this last container I
got at Vetterbrew in Clearwater (do you know the place?). If you want the big container, call
    Mike at Vet...

You must. It's amazing. I buy large containers (not that little eyedropper) and keep some in
the kitchen too, for boiling pasta.+1 I use it every time I brew and it works great! Curious
    where you get ...
