Hey man, you brewing anything good? I finally got a batch of that Torpedo IPA clone started (although I swapped out some hops from the recipe). So far so good. It's in secondary getting dry hopped and measures in at about 7.6 ABV and tastes really nice.

Nice hops pics btw. Do you farm them for sale?

Hey man, the Torpedo clone turned out pretty damn good despite several substitutions and diversions from the recipe. I'm calling my creation Maiden Voyage IPA (first all-grain batch and first time using the keggle I made). I was afraid it wasn't going to carbonate for awhile. I think it took so long b/c the alcohol content is high (7.7% abv) and it sat in the kegerator to clarify for a few days. I'm glad it turned out good because I've got another batch to keg this weekend! I hope all your brews

I've never used lactose- I asked a guy I work with that brews, and he says it is similar to MD but can add sweetness, so depends on what you're after I guess. As for hops I really appreciate the offer, but I just over-ordered (pounds instead of ounces) and now have 7lbs of pellets including cascade and others to use up. I'd offer a trade but I don't have a vacuum sealer. Once open, I'm going to try to put them in mason jars and flush out with CO2 to preserve. I hope it works!

Hey man, you brewing or drinking anything good these days? I am sampling an IPA in progress (even though it's 9 something AM- just a tiny sample). I got a little concerned that it has been fermenting for about 16 days now, which I though was probably b/c of low temps in my home office. I decided to pull a hydrometer sample and make sure it wasn't turning to grain alcohol as I mashed for 90 min instead of 60 and don't want to spoil 10 gallons! IPA seems to have turned out good-carbing up now. Added some victory and biscuit malt-IPAs overbalanced with hops (not malty enough) taste like koolaid to me. Mine has Magnum, Mt. Hood and Citra, which turned out really great! I may brew a bit of centennial blonde this weekend- as you said, before it gets hot. Had many sierras PA's tonight! Ahh, spring!
