  • I tried to make mead when I was 9 years old. It finally gave itself away while sitting hidden in the back of my closet and was sitting on the kitchen table when I got home from school. Tasted it on the way to dumping it ... did not resemble anything that one would put in their mouth. I'd gotten the idea from somewhere's to cut a finger off of a rubber glove and use the glove as the airlock. Also found out that's *not* a good idea unless you own your own glove.
