I was in Bed Bath and Beyond and I saw this fancy Mason jar (3.68-Quart) that had a Beverage
Dispenser ( basically a spigot) that I thought could be used to harvest yeast. see the link
    bellow. though...

I honestly don't think I'd be making "large" beer in large 10 gallon batches. I'd only consider
making 10 gallons of the beer that goes quick. I'm not saying that I won't make strongs beers
    and barley...

the valve thermometer etc.. My gut told me it was too high. Am I just better off buying a
    stainless pot?

I'm interested in converting an old 13.2 gallon keg into a brew pot. I'd like to install a
thermometer and Ball Valve into it.How much do they typically sell for? I found one on
    craigslist and the guy...

It worked out fine. I took the shelves out of our second fridge so I could fit the carboy in it
. The wife wasn't too happy, but it worked! The beer cleared in a few days, I Kegged it (my

Someone sent me the link below that shows how to cut away the side walls, but don't know if it
will fit Pin Lock kegs. Take a look.

Jafo28, I think you have a slightly older model that uses metal shelving brackets that hang off
tracks in the back of the fridge. I didn't realize that mine was different until after I got it
    unpacked...
