    ABOUT ME

  • North Aurora, IL
  • For my other hobby I volunteer with my county's forest preserve district as a Miller operating and maintaining a 145 year old, authentic, 100 foot tall, Dutch style windmill.
  • I began brewing in my kitchen in 1991 after catching the bug from a coworker. That first batch was an extract/specialty grain brown ale which poor planning forced me to bottle in whatever containers I had like old clear returnable soda bottles, but it tasted great and I was hooked. Over the next few years as my jobs and time allowed I switched to all grain brewing of 5 gallon batches; mashing and lautering in the kitchen and boiling in the garage.rnrnSeven years ago I built a 3 vessel, 2 tier HERMS rig to brew 10 gallon batches in my garage.
