I wouldn't say my fear is abnormal, and yes, I do have fear of losing a whole 5 gallons as, as

I use any normal size jam jar or any conserve jar that as a screw top and have had no problems
for at least 5 generations of yeast over the last year.

The only two that I'd never use again are Winsdor and S-33 I gave up after repeatedly finishing
up with high FG's and way too estery\ nosy esp.(windsor)
