  • Got into home brewing on a whim. I'm the type of guy who likes doing everything to the best that it can be done from the ingredients up. Cooking, Brewing, and Baking I'm a freak about and feel that for one to truly appreciate anything they eat or drink they need to use the best ingredients and create it themselves. I started with full extract brewing before moving on to partial mash and am now on a big fruit beer/cider kick. One of these days I hope to begin All Grain brewing.

felt the recipe was "done" when I originally posted it, as it had been made over ten times. Now
    I've made...

Brewed this baby 2 weeks ago and just just took a final gravity while racking it over to my
brite tank for the dry hopping.... I was originally concerned that it may have been too malty

I might make this and ferment it out with a belgian yeast, see what goes down. Let me know how
that turns out, I've never used a belgian yeast so I'm interested in hearing how it turns out.

What did the grape juice concentrate come from? I haven't dabbled with grapes yet, besides what
are off my vine. As long as you used proper sanitary practices and such you should be safe.

Originally I began with only Carafra for the "dark" malt which was good, but I wanted to try
for a bit of that bite that comes from roasted barley to compliment the sweetness of the

I have no idea what to plant. Perhaps Magnum? Nice clean bittering hop with a bit of spice. As
for Porterville, well it's Porterville :D If you ever go about cutting rhizomes to give out,
