  • Started homebrewing in about 1963.. before it became legal. Not much in good supplies available. Pabst Blue Ribbon Hop Flavored Malt Extract, Corn Sugar and garbage yeast. Got happy but the beer wasn't very good. Got real happy when it became legal and better ingredients became available. Haven't brewed in about 10 years and am JUST getting back into it.

    Love IPA's for the most part. Once in awhile I like a lager or pils.

    Not sure why not. It will be inert as far as your use is concerned. Looks like it would hold
    pressure with a huge margin.

    Also, what is the yeast? And what temp are you mashing at? Both can have the effect you are

    Definitely try Fogbelt. It's a new brewery/pub on Cleveland Ave. Opened in February and making
    some tasty brews. They are only 7 barrel.. and the unusual part is that they are totally open
    fermenter. ...

    Never taste the pumpkin.. but I do taste the spices. If the spices are mild and it's all
    balanced.. I like it. But, I've only had a few that were, to me, good.
