- On a cross-country trip in July 2009 I happened to visit the Sierra Nevada brewery because my travelling companion was visiting college friends in Chico. I was so excited about it that I insisted we detour through Fort Collins, CO on the way home so I could also tour the New Belgium brewery since I loved their beers and can no longer get them since I moved to Cincinnati. After that I was irretrievably hooked on homebrewing and have piously funneled every last scrap of my meager disposable income right into my carboy. Cheers.

Have you brewed this yet? I brewed a Ranger-inspired brew yesterday. I tweaked the grain bill a
bit to be more interesting to my tastes but kept the hops, IBU, ABV and estimated color in line
with the...Posted in thread: Help with Ranger IPA-inspired Recipe on 10-03-2010 at 03:36 PM
Thanks, Xiang! I took your advice and tweaked the hop schedule. I also decided to add 1/2 lb of
dextrine malt at the last minute. This is what I ended up brewing. Smelled amazing! This is my

Looks great! I can't wait to brew these beers. At what temp did you ferment the Fat Tire clone?
Would it be the same temp for the brown bastard?Posted in thread: Belhaven Scottish Stout clone? on 07-02-2010 at 06:48 PM
I also LOVE that beer and was blown away when I first tried it on tap. I've never seen it in
bottles and only know of one place that has it on tap here in Cincinnati. I contacted the
brewery and this ...
