    Nope that's not it, I was at 1.040 the 1st time after adding 1lb of corn sugar and this time
    I'm at 1.046 with no additions. Looked at the crush prior and it looked a little sketchy but I

    I've gotten 2 Dead Ringer IPA kits in a row with bad crushes causing me to come in about 18
    points below expected OG. Anyone else having issues with them? I guess I'll have another

    I would let the beer ferment out before transferring. Just spray some sanitizer on the area
    where it is leaking a few times a day. As long as it's not leaking bad, you won't lose too
    much.

    Head could rely on a number of things. Pour, ingredients, carbonation levels, temp...What was
    the recipe and bottling process?

    Um, did you pitch yeast? Just kidding,.......airlock activity doesn't always have to happen.
    I'm sure it will be fine. How long has it been since you pitched?

    You're fine, it's just sanitizer and beer.....If you're worried, stick another sanatized one on
    there with fresh sanitizer. When I have high krausen, I get "gunk" in my airlock if I'm not
    using a blow...

    Why is it in the fridge? I normally do mine at room temps.Probably to decant, that's what I do

    Do you think "almost as an airlock" is good enough? Get a bucket, it's cheap. Plus you can do 5
    gallon batches, just brew strong and top off with water.
