I've gotten 2 Dead Ringer IPA kits in a row with bad crushes causing me to come in about 18

I would let the beer ferment out before transferring. Just spray some sanitizer on the area
where it is leaking a few times a day. As long as it's not leaking bad, you won't lose too

Um, did you pitch yeast? Just kidding,.......airlock activity doesn't always have to happen.

You're fine, it's just sanitizer and beer.....If you're worried, stick another sanatized one on
there with fresh sanitizer. When I have high krausen, I get "gunk" in my airlock if I'm not
using a blow...

Do you think "almost as an airlock" is good enough? Get a bucket, it's cheap. Plus you can do 5
gallon batches, just brew strong and top off with water.
