I didn't. Got poor efficiency. Just used more rice and rice syrup to get to projected gravity
on subsequent lager where I used same technique. Bumped rice up to 4 lbs.

Just worked up a 3 gallon rest batch all ekhart rice malt and lundbergs rice syrup. Mashed 2
lbs rice malt at 180 for an hour dropped to 155 added diatase. Rest forb2 hours. Then took at

gotcha. I had such poor efficency with millet, that I presumed the same for rice. I'll back off
of the grain bill; that'll make an easier brew day too. Thanks for the advice. h.

Osedax: Can you elaborate on why you aren't brewing an all-rice beer? I am having some
allergies to millet as well as barley and wheat. So, I am thinking about going to 100% rice as
a last-ditch effor...

my experience (N=1) aligns with Chris's. My wort was very very milky but it cleared up and the
final product (in the keg) is no more cloudy than a barley-based beer. I stopped doing starch
