  • My brother gave me a second hand Mr.Beer kit. Its been mediocre and i'd like to branch out into the proper way to do this. Its facinating and really awesome when my friends and family request a protion of my next batch.

    i think i'm going to do these, and soak a couple for a day or two in port in a carboy. i'll
    put them in with the beer in a secondary carboy. Like a Dry hopping stage. Any objections? LOL

    silica pack! that's a great idea. I usually disassemble the valve and clean it, then re attach
