  • Posted in thread: Florida to NY - Good breweries to hit on 05-20-2015 at 11:03 AM
Brewers Art in Baltimore is the best in Maryland. Assuming the city isn't on fire at that time.

  • Posted in thread: Brew Day Horror Stories on 05-18-2015 at 11:51 PM
I've tried brewing with a buddy before and it always gets me too distracted. I will not so much
as talk to anyone until the chiller goes in! I'm a social person, but friends and brew days
    don't mix fo...

Don't lift large pots full of hot wort. A pump can be considered a safety item. Sent from my

I went to Bermuda last June. Great place, but the beer scene leaves much to be desired. As the
last poster commented, Dockyard is the main place to get anything locally brewed. The prices
    are insanely...

I did two extract batches. I went all grain so I'd have more control over the fermentability of
the wort - other than just different attenuating yeasts.

  • Posted in thread: Fermentation Temperature Too Low? on 04-22-2015 at 01:04 AM
Fermenting colder beats too hot! I'd keep it wrapped in the basement for the first 4-5 days,
then bring it upstairs to finish up. The first few days are the most important. If you ferment
    upstairs at ...

What temp are you fermenting at? Lowering your ferm temp will help slow things down!
