Yeah it's a pretty good cheap porter. The only thing is that after you bottle it, you have to wait 2 months. But it's well worth the wait. As for the hops, I used alot of them but if you just use Willamete and the Magnum you will be fine.

0.5 oz Fuggle, touch of Willamete (15 Min)

0.5 oz Fuggle, Cascade, Willamete & Goldings Magnum (1-3 Min)
