Not much time to work on the space with the holidays. But I took a day to brew with my
son-in-law. 10-gal. of Pale Ale, fermenting happily in my new fermonster carboys. (I like
    Christmas!) The hood is...

Just a thought here. Chest freezers usually have the compressor under a step at one end in the
bottom of the unit. Do you think you could cut the unit so the kegs would fit in front of the
    compressor ...

I drank a really good Flanders Red (Innovation Brewery-Sylva, NC). I can only hope that I end
up with something even remote to that beer. But all the same, I'm going to let it age a good
    while and see...

VagueSkunk, hey, that kind of describes the flavor! JK'g. The red has a very sour/vinegary
flavor. I'm thinking of letting it age and calling it, "flanders red instead". The off flavor

I brewed 10-gal. batch 10/8. Racked to kegs Sunday, 12/18 from primary (6.5 big mouth carboys,
that don't seem to seal very well). I sampled the beer while xfr'g and although I was not
    amazed at how g...

Yeah, I got great deal. I've got a great BIL too, whom I now have to keep supplied with
homebrew. By the time I built a stud wall with insulation, a door, finishes and all, I probably
    would have spent...

  • Posted in thread: Wood Splitter? on 12-10-2016 at 05:43 PM
Hey all, I'm taking a break from brewing stuff to buy a wood splitter. I am trying to choose
one and getting a headache from all the choices/options. I am looking at one in the 22-25 ton
    range, gas, h...

Thanks Jayway, It has taken about 8 months to get here. To much other stuff in the higher
priority slots. I got a lot more done during the winter. But it sure can get cold out there.
