  • A friend told me, "I heard beer can be made at home I wanna give it a try". I very calmly and collectively finished my beer with him, went home, got on Google and found this to be true. I proceeded to order a 5 gallons starter kit with ingredients for a pale ale that night, and was brewing my first beer by the weekend.

    This will give you an idea, but in general you usually want double the yeast you would normally
    pitch for an ale.
