    So through some miscommunications with my local orchard/cider presser i ended up with a couple
    extra gallons of raw cider this year so i decided to experiment.I added 3 gallons of raw cider
    onto a hug...

    I already have a 5.5 gallons batch fermenting though so i cant be adding to much volume.No one
    has any firsthand experience with fruit extracts or concentrates in ciders?!

    So this is my third year making cider and I fell way behind the ball with having a nice cider
    prepared for the annual thanksgiving drunkenness :mug:So i just racked 5 gallons of 1.052 OG
    fresh pressed...

    Just to give an update. NB said the bags are safe to compost but may take some time, I had a
    really hot pile going and parts were starting to break down in about two weeks so were good!

    Also we may possibly dry hop with some more cascade...So honestly this may end up being more of
    an IPA then brown ale....Right?

    So this weekend my brother is coming by to help me brew HIS first batch of beer. He bought a
    Nut Brown Ale kit from NB but i figured we should 'tweak' it a bit with some more hops
    additions and honey....
