Personally i wouldn't mix any of those kits. If you are wanting to get some more variety to
brew then look up an Octoberfest extract recipe and then substitute your mr beer kit for parts
of the recipe...

Yeah what your experiencing is your boil off. The amount is different for everyone. For me I do
6 gallons to get a five gallon total at the end. What i suggest is you boil around six gallons
of water ...
