Conversion time in a stirred mash vessel with the appropriate grind is < 5 minutes. I worked at
a very large Craft Brewer where it was standard to only have a 5 minute hold at conversion temp

Soak with star san solution for about an hour; it will come right off....phos acid will work

You may also want to try to gently rotate the carboy or bucket to rouse everything back into
solution and expel excess gas...wait a day or two and check again. I also use a high powered
